Sean is the Mac daddy for Lossie Print
Lossiemouth got their league season off to a winning start, following up with their penalties victory over Brora Rangers by defeating Fort William 4-1 at Grant Park with Sean McIntosh netting a double to lift Lossie towards the top of the table.

Fort William started this game brightly and looked the team more likely to score throughout the first 45 minutes.  In fairness they were the first team to score, however that will be explained later!

With barely nine minutes on the clock Danny Mackintosh spun into the inside right channel and he cut a fantastic shot across the face of Tim Brewin but just when everyone was expecting the net to bulge it was the post that rattled as the ball bounced clear.

Ryan Maclean was given a clean sight of goal from a Bob Macgilvray free kick but the defender's header went wide of the target.  At the other end a long clearance saw David Blackhall win a header against Andy Martin and Richie Munro about 20 yards out but Mudi Ewere was covering round and he had plenty of time to control the ball before it rolled into the back of the net.

Martin McMullen should have done better when he took a flighted crossfield pass down from Steve Dixon but his touch let him down and the ball was picked up by the keeper.  Then minutes later George Russell's poor pass saw Richard Finnis fire a 20 yarder just a foot over Tim Brewin's bar.

Brewin was the Lossie hero with a fine double stop as the Claggan Park side.  It began with a deep cross from John Hewitt which was met by Michael Milligan.  His header was brilliantly parried by Brewin who got up in time to make another good save to deny Michael Ellis from 12 yards.

The breakthrough when it came was from an unlikely source, Mudi Ewere, the former Lossie man netting his first for the Coasters.  Martin McMullen played Jamie Bagley in on the right wing and his low cross was turned past his own keeper by the full back at the near post.

Fort could have levelled before the break when a great move saw the ball played to Michael Milligan out wide on the left, his pass in to Johnathan Hewitt saw the number seven flick it past the full back into the path of Richard Finnis whose sidefoot effort flew wide of the post with Tim Brewin rooted to the spot.

Half Time: Lossiemouth 4 Fort William 1

The second half started with a bang with goals at either end in the first five minutes.  Firstly the Fort levelled and it was Richard Finnis who cut in from the left to strike a left footer high into the top corner from 12 yards.

Just a minute later Jamie Bagley's low cross was volleyed goalwards by Sean McIntosh but he was denied by a brilliant save by Richard Munro.  However the Mack was not to be denied and when the corner was flicked into the air by the keeper McIntosh was on the line to head it home.

The Urquhart teenager was to add his second of the game to ensure things were going Lossie's way.  Martin McMullen made the difference winning a header on to Jamie Bagley when others would have simply went down.  Bagley's ball into David Blackhall saw the striker skip a tackle before slipping the ball unselfishly to Sean McIntosh who simply sidefooted it into the empty net.

Lossie were now a team playing with confidence and Jamie Bagley and Kyle Stewart going close to adding to the tally with well struck efforts from 18 yards.  The fourth goal did come, this time from a set piece.

David Blackhall played an inswinging corner from the right with his left foot.  Martin McMullen met it 8 yards out and flicked it precisely into the corner of the net to round off a fine win that might just see Lossie start the season in the top four of the Scot Ads Highland Football League.
