High fives for Nairn as they move on up Print

Fort William may remain rooted to the foot of the table but Nairn County will be feeling upwardly mobile, moving up to 5th with a 5-0 win to round off a week in which they booked a berth in the semi final of the North of Scotland Cup.

Scott Graham got the ball rolling when he raced in to the space behind the Fort defence to slip the ball past keeper Richard Munro for what was a deserved opener for the visitors who dominated the opening exchanges.

Gary Black then claimed the first of a double before half time with a powerful header from 8 yards out.  It wasn't long before he rounded off a well worked move to put the game out of sight before half time.

Nairn remained in the groove throughout the second half and they were soon four goals to the good.  Jonathan Holland who was lurking at the back edge of the six yard box to collect a corner and the defender duly drilled a shot into the far corner.

The icing on the cake came 17 minutes when Billy Horne grabbed his first for the club since joining Nairn from Inverness Caley Thistle in the summer.

Full Time: Fort William 0 Nairn County 5
