Supersubs give Forres a narrow win over the Fort Print
Fort William handed a start to their new signing John Campbell who returned to start his third spell at the Claggan Park club having put pen to paper on the move from Nairn County last night.

His influence was a marked one as, once again, the Fort began to show signs of development keeping Forres at arms length for long spells in the game; although finishing the game with 11 men also played it's part in that.

It took the Can Cans 44 minutes to make the breakthrough and it was first half sub Iain Penwright who was the man to do it.  His former team mate at the Caledonian Stadium David Chambers was the architect of the goal with a break down the left wing and a square ball in which picked out Penny and the man who had replaced the injured Ryan Green fired home from ten yards out.

It was to be a good day for the Mechanics subs with Nathan Sharp returning from a facial injury picked up in the North of Scotland Cup loss to Nairn, coming on at half time for Ross McPherson.

In the 65th minute he made it 2-0 when the Fort defence failed to deal with a corner in from the right and after a goalmouth skirmish Nathan Sharp drilled the ball home to give the visitors that two goal cushion.

There was a fantastic stop that denied Forres from adding a third soon after; Ricky Wardrop blasted goalwards from 12 yards out and John Campbell announced his return with a brilliant save.

Forres' win continues a positive start to their league campaign while the Fort fans are gaining some confidence that the elusive first win in two years will come sooner rather than later.
