| Wick do enough by half but Fort score again |

Fort William came into this game off the back of that historic 2-1 win at Turriff while the Scorries also were on a high having seen off Clach by the same scoreline to book a second round Scottish Cup trip to Girvan.
Wick took the lead in the 26th minute of the game when good work down the left by Richard Macadie lead to him delivering a cross in for Gary Weir and he netted from 10 yards out. Seven minutes later and Richard Macadie was terrorising the home defence again, good run cross from the left was met at the back post by Gary Weir who headed it back into the path of David Allan and he duly placed it into the net from four yards out. In the 3rd minute of injury time Wick put the game beyond doubt with a third goal. Simon Shields felled the imperious Gary Weir and this time it was Richard Macadie's turn to get his name on the scoresheet. His notch from the spot being his 7th league goal of the campaign. Wick appeared to take their foot off the pedal in the second half as the Fort responded to the challenge of being three down and got a foothold in the game. However there was little in the way of goalmouth chances. Either side traded long range efforts but both John Campbell and Alan Bokas looked well protected, until just two minutes from time when Fort pulled a goal back. A great Sean Ellis cross form the left hand side was met by John Hewitt 2 yards out and he buried it. Had this goal came 15 minutes earlier then it may have set up a grandstand finish but alas it was too little too late for the Fort, but yet again they came out with credit and will not have seen their confidence diminished much by this result.
