Teasdale: Some really good stuff out there Print
Huntly started their preparations for their new season with a 3-1 home defeat against Peterhead. The Black and Golds opened the scoring through new signing Jordan Timmons but a mistake from goalkeeper Neil Hastie gifted the visitors a leveller through Graham Sharp.

Martin Bavidge put the Blue Toon in front just before the interval with Sharp heading in his second of the game to round off Peterhead's victory. Huntly boss John Teasdale spoke to reporter Grant Turner after the match to give his views on the game.

Snippets: The whole point of the exercise was to get players a game and bring some guys in so the fans can have a look at them. Pre-season games are for working on fitness but the performance was really good and there was some really good stuff out there.

It was an excellent performance from all of our guys and the result doesn't mean anything. Realistically, the first two goals should never have been goals. Any player should be annoyed with themselves when they make a mistake that costs a goal or miss a sitter but it is just a case of getting their head up and get on with it.
