Maxi: A confidence issue with the players to sit back when in front / Donly: Rustiness showed Print
There were four different Brora players on the score sheet as the Cattachs ran out 4-2 winners over Strathspey Thistle at Dudgeon Park. The only man to find the net more than once was Jags centre forward Ronnie Jones who bagged a brace.

Andrew Neil put the hosts in front on four minutes before John Cameron made it two just before half time. Mark Lamont added a third just after the hour while Jones scored his first of the day when he bundled home the rebound after seeing his initial penalty save.

Jones then grabbed a second to get the Jags back into it just three minutes later but Evan Murray popped up to restore Brora's two-goal advantage. After the match, reporter Brian Barclay spoke to both managers.

Snippets: Firstly, we were delighted the game got the go ahead and secondly, we were delighted to get the three points. Both sides looked pretty rusty and when the ball was in open play, we looked quite decent but we were giving away stupid set pieces and they were always dangerous from set pieces.

We went through a scary 10 minutes in the second half when they got a couple of goals. It was poor defending but I was delighted for the players (to get the win).

We went 1-0 up within five minutes and probably should have been 2-0 up. That is a confidence thing with the players because the last eight or nine games have been against top end teams and that inset to the team that they do something well and then sit back a bit.

Snippets: For the first 30 minutes, I thought we were the better footballing side but fair play to Brora, they took their chances and got 2-0 up. I said to the boys at half time there was no point in coming and feeling sorry for themselves.

We had a bit of rustiness and we had to try to turn things round. We had to get the next goal to get it back to 2-1 but we went 3-0 down and I thought the heads would go down. We put on another forward and got it back to 3-1 and then 3-2 but we then lost another stupid goal.

There were mistakes all over the park today and that is down to a lack of games and until we get to playing on a regular basis, we are going to struggle. Fair play to Brora, they deserved to win, no excuses.
