The Aberdeenshire Cup winners got back to league matters against Fort William with a large 8-0 win at Victoria Park. Craig MacMillan(3), Zander Sutherland(2), Paul Napier(2) and Steve Bruce(1) all getting on the score sheet.
Zander Sutherland was the first to get grab a goal after 7 minutes. The young wide man turned Daniel McLellan inside out just outside the box then finished by smashing a shot into the top right corner giving Ryan Hunter no chance. The second goal came from Paul Napier in a slightly more bizarre fashion. Pele's short corner went to Zander Sutherland who passed it back to Napier who looked set to cross the ball to the back post, only he didn't cross the ball and in fact chipped Ryan Hunter from the right channel just outside the 18 yard box. The two goal scorers worked a great move together for Buckie's 3rd 25 minutes in. Sutherland broke down the left channel and into the box took the ball around keeper Ryan Hunter, he then had to take another touch to stop the ball going out o play before playing it across goal to Paul Napier who fired home from less than 1 yard out. It was to be the Cup final hero who got the 4th for Buckie. Paul Napier's corner was whipped into a crowd of players in the box, but Stephen Bruce kept his cool to get the last touch to put the ball into the Fort William net. Not wanting to be left out, Craig MacMillan found the back of the net 1 minute into 1st half injury time. Zander Sutherlands corner from the right channel did all the work and MacMillan only needed to stick out a leg and Buckie had 5. Half time: Buckie 5-0 Fort William Fort held out for 20 minutes of the second half without conceding but Craig MacMillan soon ended this when substitute Jamie Shewan played a low ball to fellow sub Ian Murray who's shot was parried away by Hunter but only to MacMillan who fired home from 10 yards. Zander Sutherland caught up with Napier and MacMillan on goals after 70 minutes, Craig Macmillan's shot was saved by Ryan Hunter but fell to Sutherland at the back post who blasted the ball into the roof of the net from 6 yards. 3 players were looking for the Match Ball and after taking a through ball at 10 yards, stopping, taking it round the keeper and slotting the ball into the far corner Craig MacMillan completed his hat-trick. As if things couldn't get any worse Ryan Hunter was shown a straight red card for bringing Ian Murray down outside the box when 1 on 1, Fort had already made 3 substitutions so winger Andrew Ferguson was played in goals for the last 10 minutes of the game.
