Morrison at the double as Clach overcome the Fort
Clachnacuddin survived a first half flourish from Fort William to run out 3-1 winners at Claggan Park in the only Scot Ads Highland League match to go the full 90 minutes.

It was Fort who made the early running with the best four chances being created by the home side.  Man of the Match Neil Hastie denied Sean Ellis on three occasions before Danny Mackintosh really should have netted, but once again Neil looked Hastie and saved.

Against the run of play Clach took the lead in the 24th minute.  Good work by Mark Kennedy down the right saw him cross for Gordon Morrison and he fired home from ten yards out.

Just a minute later Sean Ellis fired a 25 yard effort just over the bar as Fort continued to attack.  They got their reward in the 28th minute when a cross from the dangerous Ellis was met by Richard Finnis who netted from 6 yards out.

However seven minutes before the break Clach got their noses back in front.  Mark Kennedy picked the ball up 30 yards out and ran in to the edge of the area before his angled 18 yarder beat John Campbell.

Fort almost equalised a minute later when that man Richard Finnis fired goalwards from 10 yards but Neil Hastie parried brilliantly to keep Clach ahead.  The Lilywhites were clearly given a warm half time reception from former Fort men Iain Polworth and Billy Skinner as they looked far more controlled after the break.

Just before the hour mark a mix up at the corner of the box saw Andy Martin and John Campbell hesitating leaving the ball for one another which allowed Gordon Morrison to nip in and collect the ball, being brought down by John Campbell in the process.

The keeper saw red and Morrison added his second from the penalty spot to double the punishment.  Sub keeper Garry Macleod was to pull off a fantastic save from a point blank Gordon Morrison header to deny the striker a hat trick before Darren Quigg cleared a Mark Kennedy header off the line late in the game with Clach finishing the stronger.
